Special Guest Speaker Maeve Brewer!

About Maeve:

I am a Doula in training. I am currently working on becoming a Certified Birth Doula through DONA International. I took the DONA Birth Doula workshop in June and attended my first birth with my mentor in July. I have since attended 6 more births. As a doula I provide women and their birth partners with physical, emotional, and informational support through out their pregnancy and labor. As a doula I can help to make labor shorter and help reduce the need for medical interventions. I just started my certified instructor program that concentrates on acupressure for a better pregnancy and birth. As an instructor I will be able to teach women and their birth partners different acupressure points that can help them during pregnancy and labor. One of the points that I teach can reduce nausea and acid re-flux. I believe that every woman is unique and can have a positive birth experience.
