Come and join Jayendra and Noeleen for lots of learning, deep practice and fun in an inspiring environment.

Each day there will a 2 hour workshop style class and we have options for attendance whether you are a teacher, trainee or if you are a practitioner interested in exploring a deeper and stronger practice. Classes are not suitable for beginners.

In this course, students will look at:

Anusara Yoga – Universal Principles of Alignment
Why alignment matters
The 5 Principles of Alignment – a deeper look
The 7 Loops – graceful refinements of alignment to create further length and strength
Experiential learning in a wide variety of poses
Asana Lab – what is needed in any given pose. Using the Principles to refine and enhance the experience and safety in practice
Students will:

Explore the potent principles of alignment to increase their understanding, practice and teaching of alignment based Hatha Yoga
Practice with peers
Observation
What do you see? – a pose or a person
Who do you see? – ‘Looking for the good’ – a valuable practice for life
Teach to what you see – improve your ability to verbalise clear, precise and intelligent instructions that enhance the experience for your student
Common misalignments as a guide
Students will:

Learn to see the whole person and not just the part
Learn how to skillfully bypass common misalignments by giving clear instructions
Practice with peers
The Graceful art of Theming
What is a theme and why use one?

Bhavana – the process of creative contemplation that powerfully supports teaching with a class theme

Explore ways of theming that inspire you as a teacher and that inspire your students and yoga community
Using Heart Qualities to emphasise your theme and connect with your students. A heart quality is a yogic feeling or emotion that is expressed through asana.
Using the deep well of the yoga tradition and philosophy as a inspiration – stories and teachings to inspire and support your teaching
How to skilfully weave a theme throughout class
Creating class plans
Students will:

Learn to use themes to enhance and enrich their teaching
Practice teaching peers
Meditation Practice

Introduction to Meditation – including definitions, theory behind practice, benefits experienced on all levels
How to practice
Creating space for meditation
Teaching from experience
Using a class theme to create a meditation dharana
Templates for teaching mediation
Students will:

Learn to teach from their inner experience
Learn when, what and how to incorporate meditation into an asana class
We offer various options for attendance:
5 Day Modules (9am – 6pm) – €650 /Ard Nahoo Past Pupils early bird – €630
Accommodation is available in our shared self-catering eco-cabins:

1 night €35 – 2 nights €30 per night – 3+ nights €25 per night

Full 5 day with 4 nights accommodation – €750
