Re-balance within the power of nature in a new moon week. Escape from your day to day life for a week and experience all the abundance a remote yoga retreat in a stunning nature reserve has to offer - immersed in the peace of nature with spectacular views and close to Andalusian culture.
Find balance between yin (relaxing and receptive) and yang (active and energetic) activities while practicing yoga for your mind, body and soul. Learn how yoga philosophy can help you create a more conscious and joyous lifestyle that allows you to live in balance and harmony with yourself and the world around you.
Yin & Yang:
We use Yin/Yang to understand hidden truths and balance life. Yin/Yang teaches us the dance of two being one; it is the idea that seemingly opposite or contrary forces may actually be complementary, interconnected, and interdependent and may give rise to each other as they interrelate to one another and allow you to re-balance your inner energies. Find stillness in the power of nature, and power in the stillness.
Nourish your Yin side:
Along with the morning meditation and the relaxing afternoon yoga classes you have the possibility of treating yourself to deep tissue, stress-relief, sports, chiro or Thai massage, relieve stress with a Reiki session (a Japanese relaxing technique that promotes healing), book a trip to the relaxing Turkish Hammam Baths in a nearby village or just relax by one of the swimming pools.
Activate your more active, Yang side:
Charge your batteries with energizing morning yoga classes, book a canyoning tour descending the amazing “Gargana Verde”, go on a horseback excursion through the surrounding mountains or take a hike to the “White Villages Balcony” and the surrounding mountains. Immerse yourself in Andalusian culture with a flamenco show and traditional paella dinner in one of the renowned Andalusian “white villages” or an excursion to Ronda, one of the most well-known white villages of Andalusia, nestled on top of a mountain and famous for its stunning landscape. You will also have the opportunity to advance your practice in a one on one yoga training.

Surrounded by lush mountains and whitewashed villages, the venue itself is a collection of charming Spanish villas nestled in Andalucia’s spectacular national park, Sierra de Grazalema. The estate is four kilometers from El Gastor town, known as the balcony of the white villages of Cadiz, due to its altitude. The property is 250,000 square meters of land protected by automated security gates. A variety of homes and apartments are available and have access to several refreshing swimming pools, a beautiful yoga studio and a private tennis court. The five clusters of small apartments or country homes are separated by large distances to ensure privacy.
The apartments are equipped with firewood chimneys, air conditioning, fully equipped kitchens with microwave, conventional oven, ceramic hob, refrigerator, washing machine, and LED television. Each apartment has its own private pool with incredible views of the mountains
We all start from where we are in each moment of each day. We, your teachers Maisie and Pia, will meet each one of you where you are. Whether you are a long-term yoga practitioner or an absolute beginner, every class is designed to meet your personal flexibility in mind and body.
So start your day in this amazing landscape with an early morning walk to the yoga shala and connect to your body, mind and soul in a guided meditation and an energizing Vinyasa Flow or Ashtanga class.
After a nourishing breakfast the mornings will offer the opportunity to join our workshops, giving you an insight into “what yoga really is,” as a lifestyle. We also will hold a couple of group circles, offering you a chance to share your feelings and experiences with the group. We all came to yoga for a reason, and sharing vulnerability can make us so much stronger! After the workshops there will be time for relaxing by the pool, treating yourself to a massage or Reiki session or a 1:1 yoga session to practice specific postures or simply deepen your practice.
After lunch you will again have free time to do what you like. Just like the yoga classes, all afternoons leave space for your personal preferences so you can make this retreat a unique experience. Here is when you can book a visit to Ronda, enjoy a Hammam treatment, go on one of the many amazing hikes, horse riding tours or a canyoning trip in the surrounding natural park, or visit the nearby white villages.
In the afternoon you can enjoy a relaxing yin yoga or a yoga nidra class.
After a delicious vegan dinner we might just sit together and watch the sunset or invite you to sing some mantras and learn about the different meanings of traditional chants.
