Full Description

Rejuvenate, restore, relax. Yoga weekend retreats at The Yoga House Wales provide an opportunity to immerse yourself in traditional Rishiculture Ashtanga yoga practices in a group of no more than 8 people. It aims to be a relaxed and personal experience and as close as is possible to the classical ‘rishiculture’ way of teaching yoga where the teacher teaches from their home and also cooks delicious meals for their students (with a little help!).

Led by yoga cook and yoga teacher Linda Premanandhi, meal preparation is a time for sharing and working together to provide delicious, nutritious, food and drink. The food is an important part of 'yoga life' at our retreats. All dietary requirements can be catered for.

The produce we use is completely fresh either grown by us, or by local organic farmers. The accommodation in our Grade II Georgian Country House is extremely comfortable and peaceful, and the house reached a 5 star grading previously as a boutique B&B. It now operates as a high quality holiday rental and yoga retreat.

Yoga is a starting point for all, regardless of age, ability or gender. We all have something to learn about living a better life. Beginners are very welcome, as the retreat will give them a useful insight into yoga. We will work to each individual’s limits, so there are no extreme expectations!

Experienced practitioners, or yoga teachers wanting to immerse themselves in their own practice for a couple days, will also enjoy the retreat, as all are encouraged to progress within their own limits. You will work as gently, or as vigorously as you like. Both men and women will benefit from the approach taken at our yoga retreats.

Sessions will aim to follow an authentic ‘Ashtanga’ yoga experience and will include asana (posture), pranayama (breath) and guided meditation work. Your yoga host, Linda Ceri Jones, will teach some sessions based on the Gitananda tradition, but other visiting yoga teachers and yoga masters will bring their experience and wisdom to specific sessions.
