Refine and Strengthen Your Yoga Workshop is a workshop catering to all levels of yoga practice. It is designed to refine and strengthen your asana practices of Sun Saluations and of classic yoga inversions; handstand, headstand, backbend and shoulderstand.
A 2.5hr workshop of strengthening preparations to build on from basic to the full asanas.

This workshop is 2.5hrs long and as it starts at 1pm, please come 10-15mins early so we can start on time. There will be a 10-15min break at 2.15pm and it finishes, after a lovely relaxation at 3:30pm



Full Description

I teach in a variety of places and see a variety of approaches to how people practice the movements and breathing in the Sun Salutations. I am running this workshop to cover what seems to be getting lost in people attending general classes where there Sun Salutations are included in the class but not being taught with the emphasis on how to move through the transitions between each of the poses that make up the sequence of the Sun Salutation.
In the first part of the workshop we will cover wrist and core strengthening exercises and work on the alignment in each of the poses so that you can move safely and smoothly when doing this sequence in your yoga practice.
In the second part of the workshop we will play with a few inversions, where we will work on the preparations of handstand (Adho Mukha Vrksasana), headstand (Sirsasana) and shoulderstand (Salamba Sarvangasana) which again might be something you've missed out on when attending general yoga classes.
The premise in all my classes and workshops is to explore how your body moves when practicing yoga asana and mainly to have fun and enjoy it as you practice it.
