The week will help you to shed tension from mind and body, to leave you refreshed and revitalised. Morning sessions will softly waken the body to the day, developing strength as well as flexibility. Late afternoon sessions will ease you into the evening and include flowing movement with deep relaxation.
You will be guided to find a sense of ‘effortless effort’ within postures. As the week progresses, you will learn how to encourage a natural softening and opening within the body, whilst bringing alive deep core muscles to hold and strengthen.
The week is suitable for everyone, from beginners to experienced practitioners, and includes:
• 2 Yoga sessions a day (1.5-2 hours each)
• Full board – 3 meals a day
• Complimentary tea, herbal infusions and coffee through the day
• Private cabin and sitting space
• Time to explore the surrounding trails and nearby cove, relax in one of the shaded chill-out areas or daydream on your cabin’s private veranda
• There will be one free day within the week (usually Friday) for a longer trip out or to take some ‘you’ time
Additional (separately paid for) options are healing massage, 1-2-1 with Julia, reiki healing and a boat trip along the turquoise coast. The holiday excludes flight, personal insurance and transfer (transfer can be arranged by us prior to arrival). NB: If you would like to share UK transport to the airport, please let Julia know on booking and you will be connected with others as available.
Julia has trained with a variety of teachers from within the UK and beyond. Her grounding is in Iyengar style Yoga, which places emphasis on physical alignment as an essential ingredient for successful sustained Yoga practice. In more recent years, she has been inspired by the teachings of Vanda Scaravelli and vinyasa flow style Yoga, uniting these to bring a sense of freedom, comfort and lightness to the body. Students love her fun style and warm, inclusive approach which encourages everyone to work within their own comfort on any given day.
Julia is accredited by the British Wheel of Yoga, holding their respected 500 hour teaching Diploma. She has practised Yoga for over 20 years and is also a qualified counsellor, trainer, mediator and reiki healer. She has a strong belief in humanity and a natural empathy which leads her to encourage others to find ways to flourish and live life to the full.
