Restorative yoga and yoga nidra are wonderful ways to calm the nervous system. The nervous system is bombarded with stressors like deadlines, e-mail, texts, the news, and environmental toxins. We need to take the time to wipe the slate clean and give our nervous system a well deserved vacation. After a brief and gentle energy balancing practice, the students will learn the powerful aspects of the research behind the yoga nidra practice. The class will include beneficial postures where the guest is completely supported and comfortable. Class will conclude with a customized guided meditation to aid in quieting the mind. No yoga or meditation experience is needed. Each participant will leave relaxed, restored and renewed!
Wear comfortable clothing and dress in layers as the body temperature cools down during this practice. You may wish to have a hoodie and a pair of socks available. Bring a yoga mat if you have one. You may also wish to have a water bottle, eye pillow and towel.
