Rest and Rejuvenate Yoga and Relaxation Weekend

Weekend retreats are a time to relax, rejuvenate and refresh yourself. Summer is all about change and renewal so that’s our theme & will tailor the yoga & meditation accordingly. You will gain some valuable space for yourself & return home with peace of mind, a relaxed body & a fresh perspective.

Full Description

We’ve chosen the 4* Potash Barns near Framlingham, Suffolk as it’s popular with guests & yoga teachers because of it’s peaceful wooded surroundings, beautiful accommodation & sunlit yoga studio with beautiful views. Accommodation is in each of the 3 renovated (boutique style to a high standard) Grade II farm buildings, all with original features, oak beams, elm floors, skylights, very comfy beds with Egyptian cotton linen, wood burners (we’ve ordered some wood!) with roaring fires and a spacious lounge & kitchen in each barn.

Rooms are spacious shared twins / doubles with a shared bathroom between two of you, so if you’re coming with a friend it’s ideal. We imagine many of you will know each other anyway - and if you don’t, you soon will!

Potash Barns can be found near the peaceful village of Framlingham, amidst the quiet beauty of rural mid Suffolk around 30 minutes from the Suffolk Heritage Coast and coastal towns of Southwold & Aldebrough, and within a few minutes walk of the Brundish Crown Public House, Potash Barns is the ideal holiday and retreat destination.

Itinerary
The weekend will focus initially on de-stressing and cleansing the body, with lots of relaxation thrown in. By Sunday you will be refreshed and ready for a strengthening yoga practice and some more mediation/relaxation. You will leave feeling centred, rejuvenated and looking ahead to spring.

Note - You can choose to do as much or as little yoga/meditation as you wish.

Friday night
Arrive from 16.00. Snacks & Juice on arrival.
17.00: 1.5-hour Yoga & Meditation, De-stress & Relax, Set our intention for the weekend with a guided relaxation (Yoga Nidra).
Group dinner together at 20.00, free time to relax.

Saturday morning
Early breakfast
2.5-hour Pranayama, Detox Yoga & Relaxation
Lunch
Free time (aka ‘Me time’) with an option for a group walk around the countryside if you wish
17.00: 1 hour of Restorative Yoga, followed by Yoga Nidra (deep guided meditation & goal setting)
20.00: group dinner, free time to relax.

Sunday morning
Early breakfast
2.5 hours Pranayama & Yoga
Lunch
1430: 1-5 hours of “Light” Yoga, such as partner yoga or inversions we’ll have some fun! Ending with a guided meditation & visualization.
Juice & Snack
Finish by 16.30 so you can be home for early evening or you may decide to stay another night & head back in the morning.

What about the food we hear you say?!
We’re big believers in good, simple food, so we’re taking our own chef therefore rest assured we will all be well fed! All the meals will be healthy but wholesome & nourishing; we’ll have non-vegetarian as well as vegetarian options. Breakfast & lunch & evening meal will be provided with snacks and drinks when needed. This is all included.

Cost: £350 per person from Friday 4pm to Monday 10am – this excludes travel & you will need to bring your own towels. Most people tend to head back on the Sunday so we will finish by 16.30. If you wish to stay for the third night you are welcome, however after lunch & snacks on the Sunday we will expect you to cater for yourself thereafter (but will provide lists of restaurants etc).

Travel
It’s about a 90-minute drive from Brentwood. There’s also the local train station up the road, trains go direct from London Liverpool st & take 90 minutes.
