Full Description

Theory, practice and Teaching of Restorative Yoga. We begin by deepening our own experience of restorative yoga, by learning to gently let go, to deeply soften and allow the earth and gravity to open us to our natural energy flow.

Restorative yoga is now a key component in many yoga classes. Learn how to teach restorative yoga and integrate restorative poses into your classes.

In this module we will learn how to set up, practice and teach all of the major Restorative Yoga postures and their variations, allowing you to create and sequence restorative classes suited to your students.

This module includes a day with Neal Ghoshal solely on iRest Yoga Nidra. Having directly learned from inspirational teachers like Richard Miller and Donna Farhi, Neal is passionate about this approach in Yoga Nidra as a deeply restful and healing practice which re-connects us to our essential, true nature, which is always whole and at ease.

BENEFITS OF RESTORATIVE YOGA

Dismantling of chronic tension patterns
Enhanced immune function
Effective cellular respiration
Reduced hyper-tension in the cardiovascular system
Reduced mental and emotional tension
A body-mind returned to a natural state of ease and equilibrium

In this module, we will learn how the autonomic nervous system, and endocrine system function and how they interact in stressful situations to create disease.

Past participants include Yoga students with an interest and love of Restorative Yoga and Resting, teachers who wish to learn more skills to what they offer, and anybody with an interest in radical self-kindness and care.
