Restorative Yoga Teacher Training Intensive

This Restorative Yoga Intensive is a continuing education program for yoga teachers who would like to include restorative yoga in their yoga teacher toolkit. The training will provide participants with the ability to create Restorative Yoga classes, incorporate Restorative postures in their yoga classes or deepen their own unique yoga practice.

Pre-Requisites:RYT 200 yoga teacher training certificate. The hours for this course can be applied to continuing education credits with Yoga Alliance.

Restorative Yoga is a healing form of yoga where poses are practiced longer with props to provide a supportive environment for total relaxation. With the right skills and restorative yoga poses, teachers can create classes that have the perfect balance of relaxation, restoration and rejuvenation.

This Restorative Yoga Intensive is a continuing education program for yoga teachers who would like to include restorative yoga in their yoga teacher toolkit. The training will provide participants with the ability to create Restorative Yoga classes, incorporate Restorative postures in their yoga classes or deepen their own unique yoga practice.

You will learn the impact of Restorative Yoga classes on the nervous system and how to structure classes to address different themes or areas of the body. We will explore adjustments, how to assist, learn breathing techniques and guided meditation to support students in Restorative Yoga classes.

• Restorative Theory and the Effects of Restorative Yoga on the Nervous System
• Body Alignment – Learning to Read Bodies
• Props – How to Apply Them in a Restorative Yoga Class
• Teaching a Class: Class Structure and Sequencing
• Role of Restorative Yoga Teacher
• Creating the Environment for a Restorative Yoga Class
• Breathing – How it Relates to the Nervous System and Techniques to Use in Class
