Sacred Sound + Flow at Aura Music & Arts Festival

This dynamic practice is a fusion of vinyasa-flow yoga and vibrational sound healing designed to align and bring harmony to the seven chakras. As the class flows from the root chakra up to the crown, singing crystal bowls resonating at different frequencies will be synchronized with a chakra specific asana flow as each chakra is explored and opened

What is sound healing therapy?

Sound or vibrational healing is the use of sound to promote wellness through specific vibrations or frequencies. Quantum physics has proven that everything is in a constant state of vibration. Vibrations are always coming through us yet we don’t really think about them. Sound goes into our bodies in a molecular level and the impact can change our physical bodies as well as our emotions.

The study of sound and its effect on our physical body is called psychoacoustics. This term simply means how sounds affect our physiological features such as our heart, muscles, breathing, digestion, blood flow and brain activity. All of our physiology is affected by what sounds we are perceiving. Thus, we can change our physical body with certain frequencies and vibrations. High and low frequencies, rapid or slow tempos can increase or decrease our heart rate, breathing, etc.
