Sore wrists in yoga usually come from improper alignment and weight placement as well as having a weak core. We'll study the structure of the wrists and common misalignments, then switch to a kick ass core workout with awesome music. Part informative, part awesome workout! Hope to see you there!

Join Kelli Russell for an informative and educational workshop and explore how to re-train your body to do yoga wrist pain free. Kelli will guide students through a vigorous core-centric flow in order to bring muscle engagement to the center of the body and away from the wrists.
You will learn about:
The structure of the wrist
Common misalignments that lead to injury
How to engage muscle action to stabilize and supports your bone structure
Will include a core workout with kick ass music, as well as seated postures and savasana.

Kelli began yoga 10 years ago and what began as just another exercise class has transformed into a life long practice. Recognizing that yoga served as a multi faceted practice for health and wellbeing Kelli stepped away from her path to become a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and decided to be a Yoga Instructor instead.
Kelli's teaching style is playful, supportive and challenging (and a little more on the nurturing side in deep stretch, slow flow and therapeutic workshops).
** Not for those with a current wrist injury or inflammation, as core work will include weight bearing postures on hands and wrists.
