Sanctuary | Embrace Wholebeing
A supportive retreat of movement, stillness and discovery for women. On this full moon day we will honour all that it is to be a woman and explore our own sense of whole-being. Our practices will include gentle movement, introspection, creativity, relaxation and togetherness.
Type of Event
Sunday 16th October. We will enjoy a shared lunch together.
Petra Bongartz and Nicki Friedlein invite you to join them for the second in a series of sanctuary retreats for women. On this full moon day we will honour all that it is to be a woman and explore our own sense of whole-being. Our practices will include gentle movement, introspection, creativity, relaxation and togetherness.
As women, “we of the moon”, natural cycles run in our blood. Like the moon we are continually transforming. In this workshop we will explore our lunar rhythms of fluidity and reflection and respect both our diversity and oneness as women. We extend an invitation for you to join us as we uncover, embrace and celebrate all aspects of our being – the parts we love and cherish as well as those we may dislike, ignore or supress.
We will use yoga, Movement Medicine practices, journaling and other supportive activities to reveal and connect inwards as well as with each other, and to nourish, restore and rest our bodies and souls.
We will enjoy a shared lunch together. No previous experience is required and all activities are suitable for anyone with a body, an open mind and a curious spirit.
Please bring: comfortable clothes that you can move in, preferably layers to keep warm, lunch to share, a reusable water bottle, journal and pen, any sacred or meaningful objects you would like to place on the altar.
Cost R600. Spaces will be limited to 16 women to support an intimate environment.
