Are you a yoga teacher who wants to refine your Sanskrit pronunciation? Or just curious about the language and wanting to delve deeper into your studies? This workshop will be a delightfully accessible introduction to Sanskrit. No prior Sanskrit experience is necessary.
Type of Event
Early bird enrollment if paid in full by December 24: $93.
In it you will learn the Sanskrit alphabet and how to pronounce the names of some common yoga poses, the eight limbs of Pantanjali’s yoga sutras, and the yamas and niyamas.
We will also discover the simple joy of chanting the first few yoga sutras and the Gayatri Mantra (correctly pronounced).
In the afternoon session we will move into a Sanskrit-based asana class so that we can enhance our understanding of this beautiful language and feel it’s vibratory quality within the poses.
