Satsang at Haum

In the Yoga Vashista it says, "Satsang is the ultimate companion to the destination (Yoga)."

The idea I have is to create a creative, open and interactive space where people can bring a question about posture/breath (or any aspect of yoga) that they want to discuss. This is not compulsory. The point is to share and create interest. Also to show how every student and teacher is different. I want to try and avoid the idea and matter of opinion, and rather emphasize experience. Full Description

In that way people look at themselves and their experiences, not what they have read or what a teacher/doctor/video/book told them.

I want it to be practical and functional. Not a lecture or debate. Simple and effective ideas in a welcoming space. Not "esoteric" or "this will change your life". Just a space where people can feel relaxed, build some awareness and start to develop some kind of self-enquiry skills and communicate that with others.

There doesn't have to be chanting or silence. Just some interest and willingness to learn. Structure is obviously important, as the free for all kind of vibe just seems to lead to people getting distracted, irritated, seeking attention and not really getting anything out of it. So it is important that there is a focus point and someone to hold it, which maybe for this Monday night I am happy to do as this is what I am keen to do and share.

In the Yoga Vashista it says, "Satsang is the ultimate companion to the destination (Yoga)."
I'm looking at basic concept of Upanishad, in which the students ask their teachers, and then the teachers get the students to teach themselves through their own experiences.
