Seated Yoga Practice and Yoga Therapy Q&A
Dr. Carol Bender and Valerie Bloodgood will increase public awareness that yoga can be practiced by everyone, whether in perfect health or struggling with chronic health concerns. We will offer a 30-minute seated yoga practice at Modella Gallery, 721 S. Main, at 9:30 am and 12:00 pm. Each session will be followed by Q&A.

We are offering two sessions of seated yoga, followed by Q&A regarding the benefits of yoga therapy .
Session 1: Seated practice 9:30 -10:00 am
Session 2: Seated practice 12:00 - 12:30 pm

There is a sweeping misconception that yoga is just something you do for exercise. However, yoga extends well-beyond the physical practice and encompasses mindfulness, meditation, breath work and philosophy. Yoga therapy meets people where they are, connecting them to their own innate healing potential. Yoga therapy clients may experience improved mood, decreased stress and chronic pain, and more. Less
