Full Description

Join us for a special Sunday workshop to explore and learn how to apply Self Care in your daily routine with Ayurveda & Yoga.

Marianne will guide you through practical advice based on Ayurvedic principles in order to recognize toxins in the body, improve the digestive power, and balance your own unique constitution.

After a short break, Debbie will teach a traditional hatha yoga class with asana (postures), pranayama (breathing), relaxation and meditation. This classical system of yoga nourishes a peaceful and balanced body mind system.

We will end the workshop with simple and uplifting mantra chanting accompanied by harmonium (a classical Indian instrument). You can join in singing or simply listen, letting the healing sounds of the mantras resonate through your body in a meditative way.
Cost: £45 - Booking is essential for this workshop, please see below.

How to book: Please book directly with either Marianne or Debbie. You can pay with PayPal or bank transfer.

About the teachers:

Marianne and Debbie met in India in 2007 while practicing Yoga under the guidance of Swami Shivanandji. Through this experience, Debbie was inspired to follow the yoga path, training as a yoga teacher with the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre (India) in 2008. Since then her practice has flourished and deepened in other aspects of Yoga, such as meditation, chanting and living a Yogic life.
Marianne who was already a qualified Yoga teacher ( dipl) since 1991, studied in parallel the Science of Ayurveda with Dr Robert Svoboda for over 10 years, and more recently completed a 4 year full time Master degree in Ayurvedic Medicine from Middlesex University. She now runs a practice in Holborn, London, specializing in arthritis and stress management.
Both are very happy to combine and share their knowledge and personal experience by offering workshops and retreats. They believe that these two ‘sister disciplines’ which have their root in ancient India, can enhance modern day living, and lead us to have a greater understanding of our true nature.
