Full Description

Shifting our perspective on INVERSIONS
Practicing yoga is a powerful way to develop strength and build muscular energy. However we can also feel we are "muscling through" challenging sequences, dissuading us from a deeper practice for fear of creating tension or injury.
It is possible to reduce tension as sensation builds. The atmosphere is only slightly less dense than water. Just as we swim through water with lightness and buoyancy, it is physically possible to feel space as support for levity and dimensionality.
Learn to establish a new relationship to space and gravity within challenging asana, especially inversions. Explore adjustments which sensitize students and dramatically reduce over-efforting or resistance. End with a spacial meditation to set this powerful perspective as a framework for moving through not only asana, but our daily lives with grace and ease.
