Yoga Now! offers Sivanada Yoga week long training / immersions at their studio (the "Yoga Garage") in fabulous downtown Boise.

What is Sivananda Yoga ? One of the largets and most popular modern yoga styles that is based on the 5 main points of yoga:

Proper Exercise (Asanas) - Yoga poses help develop a strong, healthy body by enhancing flexibility and improving circulation.

Proper Breathing (Pranayama) - Deep, conscious breathing reduces stress and many diseases.

Proper Relaxation - Helps keep the body from going into overload mode, easing worry and fatigue.

Proper Diet - Eating simple, healthy and vegetarian foods that are easy to digest notably have a positive effect on the mind and body, as well as the environment and other living beings.

Positive Thinking (Vedanta) and Meditation (Dhyana) - These are the true keys to achieving peace of mind and eliminating negativity in our lives.

Your training / immersion will include the following:

Twice daily yoga classes led by classically trained Sivananda teacher Paul Graham ()

Yoga anatomy, philosophy and history presentations

Yoga asana (posture) training in 30 postures

Teaching skills and practise

Daily guided meditation

An introduction to the Yoga sister science Ayurveda including a "dosha" analysis and dietary guidance

At the end of your 7 day/60 hour training you will be able to:

Teach a 30 posture Sivananda sequence, including breathing exercises, anywhere in the world !

Commenced or continued a daily meditation practise

Understand anatomy from a yoga perspective and apply this knowledge to your students

Understand the origins and evolution of this amazing 6,000 year old practise

Cleansed and strengthened body, mind and spirit

Continued your journey into YOU !

This training is also suitable for for anybody who is just looking to learn more about yoga and the journey inwards to Self. You don't have to be, or want to be, a yoga teacher ! It is suitable for all fitness levels, ages and yoga abilities - even if you have never taken a yoga class.

The training is limited to 15 students only.

Where: Yoga Now ! studio 1323 West State St Boise Idaho. 5 minutes walk to cosmopolitan downtown Boise, supermarkets, cafes, bars etc.

How Much: $800 includes text book, all tuition, twice daily yoga classes, daily meditation, daily lunch and graduation (wines, beers, soft drinks, appetizers !)

How to Pay ?: $200 deposit secures your spot via cash, Pay Pal link below or cheque to Balance of payment can be made at the commencement of the course. No refunds after Jan 1 2016.

Acommodation: On site shared accommodation is available for up to 6 students at $50 per night. We can also arrange acommodation at "Woodpecker Ranch" - 5 minutes drive away for the same rate.

What to Bring: Comfortable, loose fitting yoga clothes, yoga mat (if you wish - mats will be provided), notebook and pen, desire to learn !

6.30 - 7.00 AM: Morning guided meditation
7.00 - 7.15: Herbal Tea
7.30 - 9.30: Morning Yoga Class
9.30 - 10.15: Breakfast
10.15 - 12.30: Lecture (History, Philosophy, Anatomy)
12.30 - 1.30 PM: Lunch (provided)
1.30 - 3.00: Lecture
3.00 - 5.00: Afternoon Yoga Clinic
5.00 - 5.15: Herbal Tea
5.15 - 7.00: Teaching Practise
