Full Description

Spring is a wonderful season! In nature, fresh green shoots appear all around as a manifestation of the potential held, and perhaps hidden, through the winter months. Spring offers to the perfect opportunity to get inspired by nature, to realise our own potential and blossom in our own unique way.

On our Spring Rising Yoga Retreat we will be celebrating new life and the playful, whimsical energy of the air element, whilst also developing our nourishing, grounding roots through the wood element.

Gayles is a magical place to find this perfect balance. Surrounded by nature, we will immerse ourselves in asana (yoga postures), pranayama (breathwork), beautiful country walks (and play), nourishing vegetarian food lovingly prepared by the Gayles team - and of course plenty of rest and relaxation.

The weekend will offer three evening restorative yoga sessions (Friday, Saturday and Sunday), in which we will use slow flow vinyasa and yin yoga postures, calming pranayama and indulgently long savasana!
On Saturday, Sunday and Monday morning, we will have more playful, dynamic vinyasa yoga sessions, in which we will move through progressive flows, balancing and stretching to enhance natural spring time detoxification and regrowth.

Set at the wonderful Gayles Retreat () in East Sussex, the accommodation, studio and eating areas are situated close together around a thoughtfully maintained garden. They are bordered by gentle meadows offering stunning, panoramic views, allowing you space between activities to wander and reflect.

The recently renovated dormitories ‘The Studio’ and ‘The Playroom’ provide simple but comfortable and reasonably spacious single-gender accommodation. There are also two double rooms and one single room available.

All accommodation is equipped with toilets, showers and washing areas as well as basic hot drink making facilities. There are good quality, sturdy single and bunk beds with individual storage drawers. Duvets, pillows, linen and towels are provided.

All meals are vegetarian and are included in the price of the retreat. They are lovingly prepared by the Gayles team, who source the ingredients locally, or grow them on site in their new poly-tunnels where possible. Breakfast offers a selection, and lunch and dinner are served buffet-style.

The team are happy to provide dairy and wheat-free options if required. Please contact me to discuss any other dietary requirements.
