SPRING YOGA & RELAXATION IN KABAK, TURKEY
Located on The Lycian Way coast path and popular throughout the year with walkers along Turkey's famous Turquoise Coast, our base for the holiday has a footpath from its elevated position down to the sea. This little slice of heaven provides an affordable, tranquil haven in which we can practise yoga together, rest, relax and enjoy the many benefits that this beautiful corner of Turkey has to offer. The weather in Spring and in this part of Turkey is ideal for yoga in the morning and evening.

For my Spring yoga holiday for 2015 we have opted to return yet again to this cabana style family run hotel with panoramic views of the dramatic Mediterranean coastline. June is a fabulous time to visit this region - not too hot, vibrant flora and early summer colour plus long light evenings - what a great way to shake off the winter!
In my humble opinion it is hard to find a more beautiful setting for yoga anywhere else in the in the world!

Set on a hillside above a tranquil turquoise cove with a backdrop of dramatic mountains this really is a little slice of heaven here on earth. There is a swimming pool on one of the hotel's terraces with wooden decking, cushion loungers and umbrellas as well as a terraced bar for drinks and snacks plus little shaded divans to lounge under the vine covered pergolas and read or simply watch the scenery.
.The restaurant here is acclaimed in an area already known for its excellent freshly sourced Mediterranean cuisine. Meals are served under the shade of grape vines, jasmine and morning glory or the stars! It is a great source of personal pride to the owner who is an accomplished if modest professional chef himself. Fresh bread is baked daily in front of our eyes in the log burning oven and much of the food is home grown. Honey is from the family's hives and the wine made from the mountain vineyards.
Yoga will take place morning and afternoon with 10 sessions of varying lengths and being taught throughout the week. Attending the sessions is completely optional. There is never any pressure for guests to take part in every session and non participating partners are most welcome on the holiday. The programme of yoga will be varied in content.
I don't belong to any particular school of yoga and I teach in a spontaneous non-dogmatic way. Students work at their own pace with a strong emphasis on taking what they need that day from the practice and leaving out what they don't. In general the morning sessions will comprise more dynamic and energetic flow yoga with modifications offered to suit the individual levels of students and pranayama, (breathing techniques). The late afternoon classes will include slower asana practice, with some poses held longer for deepening, yin yoga, gentle and restorative sessions, pranayama, guided relaxations, yoga nidra and meditations.
The nearest airport is Dalaman which is about a 90 minute drive away, while Antalya is about 4 hours drive and there is an intercity bus terminal in are chartered and scheduled flights to Dalaman airport including BA, Easy Jet, Thompson and Monarch.
I know from experience that it still really does pay to book flights early, especially if you also want to travel at a civilised time of the day!
Please contact me to confirm your flight times so that we can help you to contact other members of the group with whom you can arrange to share taxis to the hotel from the airport. This will substantially reduce the cost of the transfer. It might also be an option to arrange car hire with other participants.
