Stability Yoga for Seniors and Health-Challenged
Stability yoga is deigned to build strength, balance and flexibility. We spend 2/3 of the class in standing poses or poses with our hands on the seat of a chair. Stretching and building endurance are important factors in this practice. If you are a life-long exerciser, this is a good first yoga class for you. It's lots of fun too. We love to laugh.

Designed for Seniors and the Health-Challenged, Stability yoga teaches you balance, stability and a way to make your body feel better. We start with warming up for 10 minutes in a chair. The next 40 minutes is spent doing poses with our hands on the seat of the chair, the back or standing. This is an active practice for those who love yoga but don't want to get down on the floor. The last 10 minutes is spent sitting, cooling down and resting.
A friendly, non-judgmental atmosphere makes this class idea for those who feel timid about walking into a yoga class. I promise you that you will feel better when you walk out than when you walked in.
