The aim of this workshop is for you to leave feeling confident in your ability to move smoothly and continuously through a Sun Salutation sequence with energy, focus, and grace.
This workshop is suitable for both relative beginners who want to become familiar with the details of Sun Salutations and yogis with an established practice who want to fine tune and deepen their Surya Namaskar.
Type of Event
Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutation) is a flowing sequence of yoga poses traditionally practised facing the sun. The sequence has become an integral part in the practice of most Yogis and is much loved by the teachers at Wells Hot Yoga.
On this workshop you will learn about the historical traditions of the Sun Salutation and go on to explore each pose in its entirety, considering correct alignment, the various modifications available and the health benefits associated with each pose. You will also learn how to connect the breath with the movement, uncovering the meditation within the sequence.
