About the Course Leader/Senior Yoga Teacher
Chrissie Felix is a Senior Yoga Teacher (SYT) with Yoga Alliance Professional and will be leading our students through the programme. Chrissie started life as a linguist and has a natural passion for Sanskrit. Before becoming a Yoga Teacher Chrissie spent much of her working life in teaching and training roles; after graduation she studied for a PGCE in French and German at University of London, and later she became a practical skills trainer in both commercial and operating subjects for British Rail. She also wrote the training plan and ran the courses for the train drivers working on Eurostar who needed to learn to speak French. She was an associate tutor at The Grove, the BR Elite Management Training Facility, where she was involved in training other trainers.
Chrissie regularly attends workshops in a wide variety of yoga styles, always seeking to expand her knowledge and has been teaching since 2007. Chrissie blends elements from all her own yoga experience; Hatha, Vinyasa Flow, Ashtanga and even elements of Kundalini practice that she has experienced along the way.
Chrissie believes that Yoga is for everyone. Everyone brings something to class, be it strength, balance, flexibility or sometimes just their peace of mind. Yoga is about bringing our bodies and minds together in such a way that working on one improves the other. One of the meanings of Yoga is Union, and by coming together to practice our lives are enhanced…
Chrissie is extremely excited and enthusiastic about running our Yoga Teacher Training Course. She brings a wealth of practical experience in classroom management, coupled with her years of yoga teaching, making her an ideal leader for your teacher training course.
