Full Description

The level of detail, awareness and attention on the Thai Massage dance flow, on how to you use your body and the technique is condensed in an course that will take you to practitioner level in 15 days.

This is intensive course covers three levels of training in Thai Yoga massage.

Every day starts with an hour and a half Yoga class and continues with the Thai Yoga component.

The first 2 weeks provide students with the practical skills to perform the traditional sequence in 4 positions: front, side, back and sitting; with the addition of a very specific understanding on how to use the body, the weight and the direction of pressure.

This includes:
• working rules;
• precautions and techniques;
• use of thumbs, palms, feet, elbows and knees;
• energy line work on the arms, legs and back from all the above positions;
• pressure points of feet, hips, lower back, shoulders and neck;
• sequence of stretches to unblock energy throughout the whole body.

The 3rd week consists of 5 days of supervised practice to consolidate the information learnt in the previous two weeks so to make it easier to focus on your own body mechanics and postural alignment.

Students will:

• deepen their knowledge of the meridians of both arms and legs;
• practice both level I and II again;
• practice stretches they are not yet comfortable with on the teacher;
• prepare a sequence that they will perform on external people on the last day.

Classes are limited to 8 students, so that individuals receive complete professional training and personal attention.

Valentina Gombi is a very passionate and experienced teacher who has spent many months in Thailand studying with different Masters. Thanks to the overall knowledge accumulated through years of teaching and massaging, personal practices, injuries and other therapies Valentina has been able to break down each Thai massage exercise and create a unique training manual full of precise instructions, exact pictures, detailed drawings, charts and anatomical and therapeutic references, which make extremely easy to understand, study and remember the sequence once back home. A DVD of the complete 3.5 hrs sequence will help the more visual ones.
