The Magic of Monhegan -- a Yoga Retreat with Lindel Hart
Come experience Yoga in one of the most beautiful, tranquil locations on earth! Monhegan has been a summer artist colony since the late 1800s, and this year marks the 400th anniversary of the arrival of Captain John Smith on the island. Its rich maritime history, breathtaking scenery and relaxed atmosphere make for an ideal yoga retreat and much-needed break from the demands of our daily lives.

Double occupancy rooms start at $1,250

Join Lindel Hart for a magical yoga retreat on Monhegan Island – a small, rocky island 12 miles off the coast of Maine. Less than a square mile in size, Monhegan has no cars and no paved roads, and three-quarters of the island is protected by a conservation easement.
The tranquility of the island, its quiet pace and simple lifestyle make Monhegan a natural setting for deepening your yoga practice, exploring the beauty of the island and experiencing the magic that has inspired painters and photographers for the past century.
In addition to several options for yoga classes each day, there will be ample time for hiking the island’s nearly 12 miles of trails, bird watching or visiting art galleries and the island’s fantastic museum. Several massage therapists reside on Monhegan, and we will gladly help you arrange your body work appointments.
If you’re a painter, you’ll be in good company – bring your art supplies and immerse yourself in the beauty all around you.
