Type of Event
- General Event
In this, the first, of the seasonal festivities we will be celebrating autumn, the year's last, loveliest smile. The evening will open with an extended season-specific yoga practice led by Naomi Annand, the director of Yoga on the Lane. Naomi will explore holding patterns in the body helping students create space for new friendships and new opportunities in this celebration of community and friendship, which will end with an extended compassion-based meditation. This will be a grounding, alignment-focused session that will stimulate the enteric nervous system in the gut to enhance their multi-sensory appreciation of the psychoactive food to come.
To complement the yoga, psycho-reactive chef India Hamilton has created a special vegetarian and gluten-free menu that celebrates the glory of autumn, and its rich harvest. Featuring oil-infusions and gluten-free bread and collective pots of food sourced from conservation farmland, the menu has been designed to encourage interaction with your fellow diners, and to nurture the invisible biological community. The meal will be rounded off with a Blackberry, Cacao and Sichuan desserts to stimulate the mind and skin. There will be a non-alcoholic bar of drinking vinegar cocktails and scoby ferments, to aid digestion.
