Be immersed in a schedule of daily Meditation, Breath work, morning Dynamic practice and post dinner yoga philosophy discussion, a sunset sound meditation and evening healing somatically guided Yin practice and deep silent inner enquiry.
Each afternoon, enjoy an in depth yoga and movement workshop designed to give you vitally important information about your body and your practice and an opportunity to explore your subtle movement patterns and energy body. We will also look at optimal alignment, technique and yoga posture modifications.
Each day we cover a different key topics,
– The 5 Koshas and the somatic experience –
– Fascia, myofascial meridians and movement as medicine –
– Anatomy of the breath and bandhas –
– Foot and lower limb anatomy and the art of rooting and standing strong –
– Creating space and the art of extension and back bending –
-The importance of hip-pelvis-spine in forward bends and twisting –
– An inversions masterclass –
In these fun, explorative and informative workshops we put your practice under the microscope and ensure that what you are doing on the mat makes sense for you and is safe and effective for our body, mind and soul.
Each student will also benefit from a private 1 hour consultation to explore their current practice and highlight the key postures and modifications that suit their individual needs.
We come together as a family of kind, caring and supportive beings with a mutual endeavor to grow in understanding, acceptance and love.

THE YOGA PROGRAM DAILY SCHEDULE
6.30-7.15am – Morning meditation & breathwork
7.30-9am – Dynamic Vinyasa practice
9.30am – Brunch
10.30-2.30pm – Private personal practice consultations and free time to enjoy the beach, massage, book by the pool, walk, trek, cycle, snorkel, swim, dive.
2.30-4.30pm – In depth explorative and informative afternoon workshops, designed to give you vitally important information about your body and your practice and an opportunity to explore your subtle movement patterns and energy body. We will also look at optimal alignment, movement technique and yoga posture modifications.
4.30pm – Dinner
5.30 – Post dinner Yoga Philosophy discussion
6.30-7pm – Sunset sound based meditation practices
7-8.30pm – Gentle Yin and Restorative practice
9pm – Lights out and Silence (Mouna) until 10.30m

On Monday, we head out for a silent sunrise walk and meditation on the black sand beach
On wednesday, we have the morning off. Students are welcome to self practice or arrange an early morning trek/tour/trip together (additional fee)
On thursday we give back in a 1 hour silent group karma yoga beach cleanup post dinner
On Friday, we enjoy a sunset gong bath sound healing session together

MORNING MEDITATION AND BREATHWORK
At sunrise we journey through various meditation and pranayama techniques to experience what it means to direct subtle energy and awareness, to strengthen the mind for self enquiry for the cultivation of wisdom and truth
Breathwork practices include:
Kapalabhati, 3 part full yogic breath, Ujayi breath and bandha activation, Breath retention, Alternate nostril breathing.
DYNAMIC VINYASA PRACTICE
Each morning we flow together, incorporating the key principles gathered in our workshops: A true breath centered practice, inner attention to the somatic body, rooting and stabilizing, creating fluidity of the spine and freedom around the heart.
In a dynamic Vinyasa practice we open up to the ultimate way to breathe and move through each moment, with the gift of grace and complete presence.
ANATOMY, TECHNIQUE, ALIGNMENT WORKSHOP
Our in depth and explorative afternoon workshops take a look at the ‘must know’ areas for optimising your yoga and movement practice. We dive into the subtle experience of the self and work from the inside out, exploring the importance and impact of attention and awareness, proper attunement to direct experience, subtle energy work, physical alignment, refining movement techniques, with reference to relevant anatomy.
We explore how to unify and bring the your body to life in postures and demonstrate how to modify in a way that still fulfills the intention of each posture.
Through exploration and enquiry, you will see how the seeming complexity of practice and life in fact, is constantly pointing to the joyful simplicity of being, the real meaning and essence of Yoga.
OPTIONAL PRIVATE 1HR PRIVATE YOGA CONSULTATION
Each student will benefit from an optional 1 hour private yoga consultation to explore and work through their practice together and identify effective postures, practices and modifications that best suit their personal needs.
HEALING RESTORATIVE EVENING YIN PRACTICE
In the evening we surrender together and unwind body, breath and mind into a state of deep abiding presence as we journey through our rich inner somatic experience. Yin shows us what it truly means to let go, to be at peace, to be in radical acceptance of our whole being, to love ourselves as we are.
YOGA PHILOSOPHY DISCUSSION AND SOUND MEDITATION
Each evening after dinner, we get together to share and explore yoga philosophy from the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali and the Upanishads, followed by various sound based meditation practices to cultivate the capacity of deepest listening from our true heart. Everything in the universe is a vibration of sound. We must simply learn the right way to listen to unravel all of life’s mysteries, the deepest mystery being your own true nature.

This course is suitable for all levels of practitioner, particularly beginners and intermediate level and even new yoga teachers wanting to immerse and refresh their knowledge.
I ask that you come with a genuine intention to go deep and explore your practice and attend with an openness and willingness to do the practice required to cultivate self awareness, self knowledge and true wisdom.
Whilst it is a thoroughly enjoyable experience with a decent amount of down time in the midday, it is also an immersive schedule designed to impart useful information and a deep inner self experience. We encourage you to stay in the space that nurtures inner transformation, that is, setting aside the desire to seek external distractions and pleasures. This is your time to get to know you.

YOUNG YOGA TEACHERS!
This immersion can be taken as a YACEP (Yoga Alliance Registered Continuing Education Course) with 50 contact hours in Anatomy & Physiology, alignment, technique, training & practice and philosophy.
Our beautiful resort in Amed, is just moments from the stunning black sand beach and offers deluxe private and twin share accommodation with private en-suite, as well as more down to earth single rooms with shared bathroom facilities. All rooms have a desk and dedicated outdoor seating area as well as gardens and sun terraces. There is a beautiful pool with a towering backdrop of Mount Agung and the mesmerising view of the fiery red sunsets over the vast ocean. There is a wonderful restaurant and dedicated team that will prepare and serve us healthy wholesome continental vegan brunch and dinner each day. The property offers bike hire and many other services so students can organise and enjoy activities in and around Amed, like cycling, trekking, massage, boat trips, snorkeling, scuba diving and more.

Yan is an amazing person and a really authentic yoga teacher. I've participated in the yoga retreat organized by her in Bali. I had a good feeling and I felt her positive energy from the very beginning. She has wide knowledge and a lot of experience which she can also transfer to her students.
