How do we inform our students about the philosophical side of Yoga in a dynamic, vibrant and accessible fashion? How do we convey that postures are a means to facilitate the union of the universal and material self which is the true goal of Yoga, while indulging our love of moving the physical body?
Transformative Yoga training gives you skills and ways to integrate Koshas, Chakras and the concepts of the Apara and Para bodies into Asana practice. If you aren’t yet sure yourself about these fundamental Yoga concepts then this is the place to discover, discuss and explore your own relationship with your subtle anatomy. Our training will be a delightful mix of slow flow physical movement, activating and releasing pranayama with a dabble into mantra to clear the heart chakra. You will learn to teach a prescribed sequence + be given chance to experiment with your own application of the techniques before being assessed in a friendly, supportive environment.
You can learn to teach this beautiful style in the warm climes of Southern India (Varkala) from 7-11th November, 2018. This course is only available for those who have done a minimum 200 hour teacher training or are in the process of training. Cost includes delicious vegetarian meals in Kerala tradition, a shared ensuite room (enquire if you would like your own room), 8 hours tuition daily with a Hatha Yoga Master + manual, certification on successful completion. You will have some time off each day to explore the local area and enjoy the ocean / beach if you wish.
