Join our specialised trauma-sensitive yoga therapy program
30 days 200 hrs

6th January – 4th February 2017

Only 10 students will be part of this program to ensure a high quality of learning and personal experience

2 Medically trained educators with over 40 years international work experience in social services of healthcare and education between them are the lead trainers and mentors in this course.

Colleen is also a registered experienced yoga teacher (ERYT200; RYT500), a certified Pilates instructor and certified in various forms of massage and bodywork.

Saliya Life Institute is a Registered Yoga School (RYS-200) and the curriculum of this trauma-sensitive yoga teacher training is approved by the international Yoga Alliance.

The lead educator and facilitator of this training is also an emergency first response instructor.
Graduates have the choice of registering with both of these international associations.

This program focuses on understanding mental health and behavioural health challenges.

Learn how to support people healing from and coping through grief, loss, PTSD, trauma, toxic stress, addictive tendencies, substance abuse, burnout, compassion fatigue, ADD, ADHD, oppositional defiant disorder and the various co-occurring disorders and dis-ease.

Learn how practises of self-care including self-awareness, self-regulation, self-nurture, emotional intelligence, gentle therapeutic yoga, meditation, massage and art therapy provide harm reduction tools cultivating self-compassion and Personal Insight.
