Two Part Conditioning Workshop for Skiers and Snowboarders

This workshop will consist of two parts: STRENGTHEN and RELEASE. Part One will focus on: Strength, Safety, Support and Injury Prevention. Great for pre season and maintaining strength throughout the ski season. Part Two will focus on: Relaxation, Tension Release, Therapeutics, Injury Support and Pain Reduction. Great for keeping muscles and ligaments in top shape for the season.

*30 minute lecture exploring attributes of bones, muscles, ligaments, fascia and layers of the body.
*75 minute practice
*30 minute yoga pose lab: We break down 3-4 key poses that you can bring with you throughout the season.

Strengthen — Saturday, November 8th

Strength, Safety, Support, Injury Prevention — Part One will move through a conditioning practice to strengthen the core and lower back, hips, quads and thighs. In addition to strengthening the muscles that support knees, calves, shins, ankles and feet. This workshop will work with the practices of body, mind and breath to improve balance, focus and function for your ski season.

RELEASE — Saturday, November 15th

Relaxation, Tension Release, Therapeutics, Injury Support, Pain Reduction — Part Two will move through a warm flow to open the neck, shoulders, hips, pelvis lower, back, legs and feet. Focusing on the spine, exploration of healthy positioning and twisting, will be addressed through symmetry, balance and expansion on all sides of the body. Concluding in a relaxing restorative practice that can support sore muscles after a long day on the mountain.

Both sessions include:
*30 minute lecture exploring attributes of bones, muscles, ligaments, fascia and layers of the body.
*75 minute practice
* 30 minute yoga pose lab: We break down 3-4 key poses that you can bring with you throughout the season.
