Tense, tight, noisy shoulders? In this three-hour workshop, appropriate for all levels and abilities, we will explore this complex joint in all of its planes and ranges of movement. Many commonly taught yoga postures require the shoulders to be both flexible and strong, and repeated improper alignment can create pain and cause injury. This workshop will guide you through playful and challenging techniques, using functional movement strategies, that will create spaciousness in the shoulder joint, increase your range of motion, and show you how to align yourself with consistency and precision. You will discover your own particular “hot spots” and take home strategies to strengthen your weak points and stretch your tight areas, while gaining a new appreciation for this vital joint.
