What is Yin Yoga? It is known as the quiet practice. It is the complement to the more active forms of yoga that we are familiar with. The focus of Yin Yoga is on our joints and the connective tissue, rather then muscles. This focus requires long held positions (2-5 minutes), all on the floor. The benefits of Yin Yoga are numerous, including increased mobility in the joints, a sense of calm and balance in the body and mind, and increased flow of vital energy throughout the body. This class is for anyone interested and curious about the practice, as well as those who are already practicing and reaping the benefits. Come and feel for yourself.
