Full Description

This event is an experimental collaboration between artist / therapist Ma Shakti and Alina and Kamila, musicians and founders of Laboratorium Piesni.

The central theme for the workshop is PURITY.

Purity of the intentions behind our words and actions.
The purity of a life in full alignment with our innermost truth.

The raw creative force of Swadhisthana can be transmuted and sublimated into a refined form of creativity in Vishuddha, where it finds expression through beauty and art.

Along the lines of Ma Shakti's unique art courses focused on the chakras and yogic psychology, this one is the first experiment of its kind as it incorporates an extended session on vocal expression. Participants will also enjoy a singing lesson by our guests muscians and learn one of the most beautiful songs from their repertoire.

Elements of intuitive painting, art therapy, tantra, relaxation, psychosomatic therapy and sound healing will beautifully blend togher in a harmonious explosion of the senses to create a magical inward journey of exploration and self inquiry.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

VISHUDDHA- or throat chakra- is the fifth primary chakra according to the subtle anatomy system of the Tantric tradition. It is also the first of the three "spiritual" chakras and the one that relates to our ability for higher discrimination, as well as to our ability to speak our truth and to embody it in our daily life with the grace, integrity, freedom and courage it takes to go beyond what is socially safe, convenient or expected of us.

Located in the area of the throat, it governs the anatomical regions of the thyroid, parathyroid, jaw, neck, mouth, tongue, and larynx. To be open and aligned in the fifth chakra is to speak, listen, and express yourself from a higher form of communication and with refined sensitivity.

Listening is another key aspect of the fifth chakra. The highest form of listening requires the stillness and receptivity needed to be fully present and to give the other person your full attention. Another aspect is to achieve a healthy balance between speaking and listening; as well as to be able to speak our hearts and expess our thoughts and feelings openly and without fear.

Chanting, singing and humming are wonderful ways to open the fifth chakra and we will have two expert vocal artists to faciliatate this part of the journey.

Some specific pranayama exercises that bring heat and stimulate the throat chakra will be included; painting and art therapy will be part of this workshop, hence please wear comfortable clothes you do not mind to get dirty.

Be ready to play and to step outside the box. Explore the healing and therapeutic potential of creativity through singing and intuitive painting.
