Waltzing Vinyasa Workshop with Julia Moffit

This particular technique of Vinyasa is similar to the rhythm-ratio of a waltz. Two minutes of vigorous flow and one minute of stillness. This method systematically creates an internal “question and answer” environment for the practitioner to drop deep within, observe the body and WHO THEY ARE. We will explore how to use our yoga and this Vinyasa practice as a powerful tool to improve body awareness, change structural alignment and reset habitual behaviors.

Full Description

Practicing empathy for yourself and others is probably the most important skill we can have as yoga practitioners, family members and world citizens. Empathy connects us to ourselves, to others, to the Earth and can shape our conversations, interactions and all our relationships.

To embody empathy is to embody the Yamas and Niyamas. To begin to “be” yoga instead of just “doing” yoga.

But how do we actually make empathy our default response to each situation whether that situation is a yoga asana or a conversation with a loved one? How can we use our yoga practice both to create and express this empathetic approach to life?

Learning this process requires deep self-inquiry and the willingness to be vulnerable with ourselves. The rewards, however, are enormous.

This particular technique of Vinyasa is similar to the rhythm-ratio of a waltz. Two minutes of vigorous flow and one minute of stillness. This powerful method systematically creates an internal “question and answer” environment for the practitioner to drop deep within, observe the experiment their body just created for two minutes and observe for one minute WHO THEY ARE.

In this two hour workshop we will explore how to use our yoga and this Vinyasa practice as a powerful tool to improve body awareness, change structural alignment and reset habitual behaviors.

All levels are invited but some experience with an active practice is required. If you have any questions, call Julia at 305-849-2391
