YOUR HOSTS

Rosie Moreton

Rosie is a kiwi born and raised. She grew up on a farm where she was brought up on nature, music, good wholesome food and big books with long words. Her sense of adventure and curiosity has taken her to some incredible places in the world, and for the past three years she has been travelling and working for farms, yoga and wellness retreats and outdoor adventure companies. On her travels she has learnt how yoga, meditation, good food, the outdoors and a healthy balance in life is her key to happiness.

Rosie completed her initial 200-hour Hatha teacher training in 2015 in Spain. Since then she has been lucky enough to teach on retreats around the world, most recently as the Head Yoga Teacher at an Integral Yoga and Meditation retreat near Siem Reap, Cambodia. There, she met the lovely Natasha and a beautiful, collaborative friendship was born. Since then she has been teaching her way around Southeast Asia, and is currently studying Thai Yoga Massage in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

Rosie teaches a Hatha flow style of yoga with a strong focus on the breath and awareness, so that each practice becomes a meditation in motion. Her personal practice is based on self-love and building harmony between all the little parts of herself through a balance of energising and restorative practices. Having seen in herself the transformative powers of the practice, she believes yoga can bring a little more sunshine into everyone's lives. She can't wait to have some meaningful chats and belly laughs with you on retreat.

See her website over at Roaming Rosie for more information on her escapades, experience, and where yoga has taken her in the big wide world.

Natasha Kochan

Natasha was born and raised in Canada where she worked for more than ten years in the dental field. She set off in July 2015 from her hometown of Kelowna, British Columbia on an adventure to see and explore as much of the world as possible.

For as long as she can remember, Natasha has been involved in ballet and jazz dancing. Teaching syllabus and an active performer in annual recitals. It was through dance that Natasha discovered her love for yoga.

In September 2015 she completed a 200-hour Ashtanga yoga teacher training program in Pokhara, Nepal. Immediately following her training, Natasha embarked on a one month trek through the Himalayan mountain range; spending invaluable time with herself in nature, and initiating a spiritual journey.

It was while working as a yoga instructor at a yoga & meditation centre in Siem Reap, Cambodia that Natasha was introduced to her soul sister, Rosie, and a beautiful friendship has since blossomed.

Natasha is currently residing in Rishikesh, India where she is in the process of completing an advanced 300-hour yoga training course.

Natasha believes that yoga is a practice both on and off the mat. She aims to cultivate an awareness of mindfulness, presence and gratitude through her yoga teachings and online blog posts at Gypsy Glitter Soul.

Having been both a guest and teacher on yoga retreats around the world, Natasha believes in the positive, life-altering benefits of this practice and is excited to share her light and love with you!

YOUR RETREAT

We’re here for you to unveil and understand all the little parts of you that create a beautiful harmony.

This is not about going backwards, to a former self, trying to get back to where you once were. This is about moving forward, about uncovering the innate and detailed layers of your beautiful self on a journey of discovery and self-exploration. This is about getting your glow on, and becoming whole again.

We create a well balanced programme focussed not only on the physical aspects of yoga, but also on nature, community, self love and most importantly, laughter.

This is not your average yoga retreat, because you’re no average human. You are an intricate, complex individual. We understand your individuality and believe like minded individuals can come together to create the Whole. Our retreats focus on embracing individuality in a family-style, small group setting. To truly relax and reap the benefits of a retreat, you need to feel right at home. That's what we're all about, and we hope you will feel safe, supported and free to express yourself throughout your retreat.

Over seven days, you start to sink into each moment, letting go of your worries and reshuffling your priorities so that your health and wellbeing come in top of the list. Your co-retreaters become your family, your rustic bungalow your home, and your yoga mat your temple. A balance of energising and restorative practices, nourishing simple food, good company, beautiful surroundings and supportive staff ensures you leave feeling more whole, and more balanced.

Join us for a week of self-exploration , through the practice of yoga and meditation, community living and immersion in nature. We can't wait to meet you.

TESTIMONIALS

Rosie teaches from the heart with a wonderful freshness. She connects with her students in a way that keeps her yoga real and relevant. Rosie is entirely present with us, her students, and teaches us with conscientious attention and loving kindness. Rosie’s classes are enjoyable but challenging enough to leave us feeling like we’ve had a top to toe stretch, and the savasana is awesome. Our time with Rosie at Hariharalaya, Cambodia was really special and I look forward to going on another retreat with her.

"If you are looking for a yoga retreat that will help you to connect to yourself and others in a meaningful and loving way, then you would really appreciate learning and practicing yoga and meditation under the guidance of Rosie. Rosie is a lovely, experienced and skilled yoga teacher and retreat leader. She has a graceful way of authentically connecting with students on and off the mat to make you feel comfortable, relaxed and open. Naturally, her warmth and genuinity in caring for others brings forth a sense of community. Rosie is able to provide inspirational yoga classes, educational workshops, and community-building activities in a fun and playful way that will surely make you feel alive and free!"
- Sylvie Le, Heal Body & Being

"A couple of months ago I had the pleasure of joining a retreat where Rosie & Natasha were sharing their love for yoga. This week was the perfect way for me to learn a lot more about yoga and how to make it a way of life. Rosie & Natasha have this passion and knowledge of yoga that makes you love it even more. Besides the fact that I enjoyed their way of teaching, these two girls are a great time outside of the yoga studio We had so much fun! I would definitely join a retreat with them again!"
-Debbie Van Norel, Netherlands

"I can't say enough how thankful and lucky I am to have come across this talented teacher. Playful and wise, Natasha inspires you into your best practice with her encouraging voice and heart-opening narratives. Can't wait till I practice with her again!" - Jurane Solano, Singapore

"Natasha is such a lovely, encouraging and supportive teacher. She could not have made me - a novice yogi - feel more comfortable and at ease during her classes. Positivity and love is at the forefront of all her classes, and I would go away feeling genuinely elated after each one! Could hold Natasha in higher esteem, as both a yoga teacher and friend."
- Geraldine Carton, Ireland

"The first thing I noticed when I arrived at the retreat was Natasha's smile . She gave us all this warm and friendly welcome that made us feel at home. Natasha made me want to learn about yoga even more. Always smiling, she knows how to give you the right advice for you to have better posture and to stay focused on what you are doing. Her courses were full of light and I could feel this good energy flowing in me whenever I finished a class with her. She knows how to direct you into the different postures in a calm, soothing way. She takes everyone on the same level and takes time to help the ones who need it. Natasha is one of the best Yoga teacher I ever had and will never forget. Her work is timeless and her personality is so inspiring . Thank you Natasha" - Kevin Trudel Olsen, Canada

"If anyone was looking for a yoga experience like no other, I would put them in contact with Rosie and Natasha. They were more than just yoga instructors, they were family, from the moment I met them at Hariharalaya Yoga Retreat (which i ended up doing four ) in Siem Reap, Cambodia. Their loving characters and passion for helping others is incomparable! They are energetic and have uplifting smiles and laughs, the ones that can just make your day that much better. Their knowledge and teaching direction is spot on. They are the best!!"
- Smiling Scott, Canada

"I was Rosie's student at a retreat in Cambodia that I went to early this year. I had a few different classes with Rosie but my favourite was her yin/restorative class! It was what first got me into slower, longer holding and stretching yoga. I had never done this style before and I love it. The few basic poses we did are poses that I still do daily. As I've only being doing yoga for a year now Rosie's teaching was clear and her adjustments were accurate! Great teacher loved her classes!"
- Ashleigh McGuire, Australia

"I have experienced Natasha and Rosie on separate occasions for class. They are both caring and loving souls that create a safe space for union between mind and body. The kindness and thought put into their instruction is clear with good intent. I thorougly enjoyed their classes and would love to spend more time with them on the mat."
- Jonathan Pritchard, Australia

I cannot afford Rosie higher praise and will forever recommend her teachings. Rosie was one of my teachers in Cambodia who introduced me to yoga and mediation. As a rookie to both of these things I was very nervous that I would not be able to do ‘the moves’ or flexible enough to participate in the class. Instantaneously I could relate to Rosie- she is warm, accommodating, encouraging, inspiring and pushes you to be the best version of you. Rosie teaches you not to compare yourself to others, but grow and learn for yourself and for your own practice. Rosie made me feel comfortable and confident. She is a truly magnificent teacher, made an effort to befriend me and I will forever be following her around Asia to experience a little more of the Rosie magic.
