WILD & FREE: A YOGA INSPIRED BACKPACKING TRIP
A guided hike to Franklin Lakes and the surrounding areas, which contain waterfalls, peaks, streams and a colorful metamorphic backdrop. This backpack trip will immerse you in the stunning wilderness of Sequoia National Park while being provided opportunities for yoga, meditation and reflection among a small group of journey-seeking companions.

Imagine yourself immersed in the Mineral King wilderness, overlooking an alpine lake surrounded by a granite basin and arms reaching towards the sky as you stretch before the day’s hike. Your companions join in as your guide leads the group in a revitalizing vinyassa yoga flow, reminding you to breathe deep. This is just one moment of many that you may experience during this inspiring yoga backpack trip, where yoga and self-reflective activities such as meditation and journaling complement the hike. For this adventure, we venture to Franklin Lakes and the surrounding areas, which contain waterfalls, peaks, streams and a colorful metamorphic backdrop.
Day 1: Meet at 4pm. Introduction and evening yoga session. Car camp to promote acclimatization.
Day 2: Easy yoga flow then backpack to Franklin Lakes (About 6 miles, moderately strenuous). Evening meditation.
Day 3: Rest day with morning yoga and possible afternoon easy hike to second lake. Easy evening yoga session.
Day 4: Easy flow yoga in the morning with hike to Franklin Pass. Evening yoga session.
Day 5: Morning yoga session and hike out.
