Women in Recovery - Ojai Yoga Retreat
“When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy.’ They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life.” John Lennon
Type of Event
August 24, 1-5pm
August 25, 10-3pm
As a child, I never understood why adults pretended to be happy, but really weren't. As an adult, I still don't understand. Short invite: come to this retreat and let's discuss. I've been facilitating retreats like this for 7 years.
Long invite: I wasn't happy, or just 'being,' when I was diagnosed with clinical severe major depression in 2014. I was ready to be dead and had pretty much failed at balancing the art of adulting. Oops, how did I get here? Am I doing it right?
Bring a notebook. Expect to write, optional sharing; dive deep into your subconscious patterns and behaviors. Learn specific tools to show up for yourself in your own emotional and psychological life.
Take responsibility for your life and discover that you’re the only one holding you back from feeling happy and just ‘being,’ without the feeling of something missing.
Get dressed, show up, be brave, do the work, change your life. This is your birthright. I love you.
