Workshop Yoga & Nutrition / Rooting and letting go – healthy elimination ;-)

We are right in the middle of autumn, the season of letting our true colours shine through as well as the season of letting go.
As nature is preparing herself for the journey inwards with an abundant display of autumn colours all around us, so it is time for us to re-connect to the very center of our own being and eliminate / let go off what might have served us so far but is no longer necessary for the journey ahead.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the element of this season is Metal, the physical organs ruling this season are the lungs and the large intestine, the colour is white, the taste spicy.
So, it is not for nothing that the Starbucks taste of the season is “Pumpkin Spice” ;-).

In the yoga part of this workshop we will focus on rooting and releasing through the practice of meditation, asanas/postures, pranayama/breathing exercises , kriya´s/ cleansing exercises and savasana /relaxation.
We will move through what needs to be released, ending light, strong and stable, ready for the season ahead.

In the nutrition part of the workshop we will look at both the physiological aspect of the lungs and the large intestine, as well as what foods helps us with a healthy elimination, allowing us to root and stay both warm and strong within and without as the cold season approaches.
70 % of our immune system resides in the intestines and recent research has shown – with more published by the day as we speak – that close to all “modern diseases” are linked to the health of the intestines. So, let´s look in to how we can provide both ourselves and our loved ones with a healthy gut through nutrition!

The workshop is held by Cecilia Götherström, Internationally certified Vijnana Yoga Teacher with Vijnana Yoga International and licensed Nutritionist with Pauluns Näringscentrum.
Cecilia has been running her own business within Yoga & Nutrition since 2009 , coaching & teaching people world wide next to writing articles for among others as their Yoga & Nutrition Expert.
She is very passionate about her work and her philosophy is “what is truly good for you is automatically good for the planet ”.
