Yang and Yin Yoga with Cécile Roubaud

Join us in the beautiful landscapes of Bali for a yoga retreat which will mix dynamic yoga (open to all levels) and gentle yoga. The combination of those two kinds, yang-solar after the rising sun, yin-lunar after for the sunset, will create regeneration for the body, the mind and the soul. Along the retreat we will study some wisdom from the Taoist philosophy in order to have useful tool to balance our energy in our daily life.

Join us in the beautiful landscapes of Bali for a yoga retreat which will mix dynamic yoga (open to all levels) and gentle yoga. The combination of those two kinds, yang-solar after the rising sun, yin-lunar after for the sunset, will create regeneration for the body, the mind and the soul. Along the retreat we will study some wisdom from the Taoist philosophy in order to have useful tool to balance our energy in our daily life.
Day 1: Landing the soul in the body
Arrival in the afternoon.
6-8pm You will be invited to join a delicious Yin Yoga session to land. Yin Yoga is a practice inspired by the Chinese medicine, it targets the deep tissues of the body, and the poses are hold for a long time with relaxed muscles.

Day 2: The Yang Yin polarity
8-10am Vinyasa yoga inspired by Prana Flow yoga. For this first morning Cécile will guide us in fluid and gentle flow, to prepare the body for the week.
6-8pm Yin Yoga with a focus on the art of letting go.

Day 3: The principles of energy in the Chinese medicine, introduction of the meridians
8-10am Vinyasa Yoga called Dragon Dance. Dragon dances are inspired by ancient practices of Qi Gong mixed with dance and yoga. They are very dynamic form of practice that help to circulate the energy.
6-8pm We will have a look at the meridians mainly targeted in the Yin practice. During the evening Yin Yoga we will focus on the energetic aspect of the practice, using sometimes acupressure points in the poses.

Day 4: The inner journey: the emotional approach to the practice.
8-10am Vinyasa Yoga inspired by Prana Flow yoga. In the morning session we will target the opening of the chakra of the heart.
6-8pm During the evening Yin Yoga session we will explored the emotions linked to the lower meridians that are solicited in the Yin practices.

Day 5: Planting the seed of balance in our daily life
8-10am Dragon Dance practice. We be focusing on finding our roots.
6-8pm The Yin Yoga session will be introduced with an overview on how karma works and the concept of emptiness in Tibetan Buddhism. The Yin Yoga session will aim at finding deep peace of the mind.

Day 6: Integration
8-10am Dragon Dance and Yin Yoga.
During this morning sessions we cover both Yang and Yin, solar and lunar, in a complete session that will give you the wings to fly back home!

All sessions of poses will also be combined with techniques to focus the mind such as meditation and pranayama (breathing).
