Yang meets Yin
This workshop will help you become more aware of the tensions you hold in body and mind, and offer insights into how to balance these in everyday life.
Type of Event
Today we will balance our Yin and Yang. Our Yang energy is active and dynamic, Yin is the passive, calming energy. We spend most of our time in the Yang energy, our body and mind in constant motion and always focused on moving forward. We tend to give less time and attention to our Yin energy, allowing the body to physically relax and the mind to slow down, while in a waking state. In this workshop we will combine our Yin and Yang practice. A Yang flow to activate the circulation, blood flow, lung functioning, and warm the body, and Yin movements to bring our focus to the conscious awareness of slowing down the body and mind with mindfull yogic exercises and asanas. We will move between Yin and Yang throughout the workshop, and end with a relaxing meditation. This workshop will help you become more aware of the tensions you hold in body and mind, and offer insights into how to balance these in everyday life.

This practice will incorporate a variety of active dynamic and passive slow yogic exercises and asanas.
