This two hour workshop will begin with a fiery, flowing yang sequence during which you will move continuously to warm the body, wringing out unnecessary stress and tension and preparing you for the restorative yin postures to follow, which will soothe, nurture and enable your body (and mind!) to unwind and let go completely.
Yin postures are supported by props and are often held for several minutes to encourage a complete relaxation of musculature which, in turn, encourages a release through the fascia, surrounding bones, ligaments and tendons. This results in a deep opening and release into areas of holding and tension in the body, as well as a deeper connection with the breath.
We will end with a yoga nidra, translated as “yogic sleep”, a deep, guided relaxation to leave you rejuvenated for the rest of your week!
