Yin Yoga for the Hips and Legs - A 2.5 hour workshop!
Ease your movement and emotional health by exploring a slow-paced yin yoga practice all from the floor. We will touch on the 3 principles of yin yoga and challenge the myth of yoga that everyone can do a pose if they just train long enough, hard enough…and with the right teacher. What is important is not what a pose looks like, but what it feels like. This practice will explore all four quadrants of the legs!
Allow time for two short meditations and physical practice of yin yoga poses for your hips and legs. This workshop is appropriate for beginners to yoga, as well as, the well-seasoned yoga student.
A home-practice package based on Yin Yoga for the Hips and Legs will be provided to each registered participant.

Helen Fong. Helen is a Certified Yin Yoga Teacher trained in Halifax and Vancouver extensively with yin yoga master teachers Bernie Clark (founder of ) and Biff Mithoefer (author of The Yin Yoga Kit). In 1998, Helen attended her first yoga class at TAYS recovering from a motor vehicle accident while studying at Dalhousie University. With a regular yoga practice, her back pain improved and continues to be an integral part of maintaining a healthy back and restorative approach to healing.
