Yin Yoga Teacher Training

At GRY, our approach to yin yoga is one of body, heart and mind. Yin yoga serves as a platform for self – enquiry to develop deeper personal insight, whilst being a deeply nourishing practice of stimulating and balancing meridians.

It is the stillness of yin yoga that serves as a bridge to mindfulness meditation techniques; one of the key focus points of this training.

You will develop a practice of self enquiry, drawing from the insights master facilitator, Shannon Barry has learned from his time in training with Sarah & Ty Powers as part of their Insight Institute.

Your understanding of the importance of yin yoga anatomy will be heightened with course work inspired by yin yoga creator, Paul Grilley.

The following workshops will equip aspiring yogis with the relevant tools to nurture a purposeful and informed yin yoga practice and empower teachers to deliver safe and engaging classes.

This series of workshops will cover:

Anatomy of yin yoga
- yin and yang – the difference
bones, ligaments and fascia Vs. muscles
working with sensitive areas, injuries
- props for yin yoga postures – when to use and when lose
