This class is open to anyone and is mainly directed towards the triathlete or anyone who swims, bikes and/or runs.
A breath focused practice incorporating standing, balancing and lying poses. Improve your flexibility while building stability in the joints and gaining strength in the core. Adding somatic exercises to assist in relieving imbalances in the body leading to a decreased risk of injury and chronic pain. Complimenting your swim, bike, run with a weekly yoga class can and will have a positive impact on performance, endurance, and overall living. Yoga is a practice that leads to continual personal + spiritual growth through building strength + control in the body and ultimately the mind.
Deanna L. Dzybon: As a sprint triathlete herself, Deanna has direct experience and knowledge of the toll that all that training takes on the body and mind. Yoga has helped her keep her muscles long and strong, her joints stable and her body pain free.
Deanna has practice yoga for over 10 years and has been teaching for 4. Her background in playing and coaching sports and being a fitness coach for 20+ years has enhanced her yoga skills and knowledge of the body. Deanna regularly guides runners, climbers and athletes in general through combined hatha flow style yoga classes. A lot of Deanna's students have been new to yoga lending to Deanna gaining the ability to teach a true all-levels class.
