Full Description

This retreat combines dynamic yoga and hill walking with Kaliyoga's signature vegetarian cuisine, world class therapists & gorgeous surroundings. This region is one of the finest walking areas in Europe and has been certified by UNESCO as a Biosphere Reserve.

We take you out for two full days of hill walking in the beautiful landscape of the Alpujarra region with its waterfalls, gorges, moorish villages & shaded valleys. In the evening when you return there is restorative yoga and supper.

Two daily classes 2 hours in the morning and 1.5 hours in the evening), with plenty of time for therapies, rest and relaxation in between. Dynamic yoga is a flowing system of hatha yoga vinyasa, invigorating and deeply relaxing at the same time. We provide you with expert tuition that is perfect for beginners as well as experienced practitioners.

The walks are for anyone who has a reasonably active lifestyle and enjoys walking. You'll be out for 2-3 hours per day on undulating terrain ranging from reasonably challenging gradients to moderately easy hills. You don't need to be an athlete, though please note that the walks are not suitable for people with high blood pressure, with reduced mobility, or recovering from recent surgery.

To ease your muscles you can choose from a broad range of holistic healing therapies every afternoon.
Free Time

On Wednesday a substantial brunch replaces the usual breakfast/lunch duo at 11am, then the rest of the day is free time until the following morning (no evening yoga class / meal). You can stay at home and take a cookery class, or head out for some horse riding, or make a pilgrimage to the Alhambra palace, or stay at home and sit around the pool reading and chatting with fellow guests.
