In this workshop Joan Chanpong will introduce you to techniques to access your core in yoga asanas. You will learn highly effective poses that help create core strength. Cultivating core strength helps students in all yoga poses as well as in daily life and can help prevent injuries. Using the core makes flowing through poses easier and core strength can make challenging poses like arm balances and inversions more accessible.
We will talk about the importance of the core and common disconnections from the core. Sample yoga routines to strengthen the core and essential poses for core strength will be included in this workshop. Workshop is experiential through asana as well as discussion.
Open to all levels.
Note:Please avoid eating a large meal 3-4 hours before workshop. A light snack or foods easily digestible is fine to eat for energy, but nothing too heavy!
