Yoga by Nature Autumn Retreat
Shekin Ashram, Glastonbury 1st - 3rd November 2013
Yoga by Nature's next retreat will be an intimate weekend of yoga, meditation and introspection at the beautiful Shekin Ashram at the foot of the Glastonbury Tor. It will be the time of year when we are naturally beginning to gather up our stores of energy for the Winter and starting to turn inside more as the nights draw in and Nature prepares to slumber. We are reflecting this by making this gathering a smaller one with a maximum of 9 places available.

Early bird til 1st August is £195. Shared cabin is £250 thereafter.
We will be taking part in some of the ashram's daily events like the Friday evening bhajans and the mealtimes. An ashram environment is very conducive to meditation and there is a more contemplative feel to it compared to other yoga retreat centres. However, Morven and Marinella will be holding the space, so the weekend will still have the distinctive Yoga by Nature flavour.
There will be a two hour Akhanda Yoga practice in the morning with Morven - two hours gives us the opportunity to go deeply into the practice of yoga with mantra (chanting), asana (postures), pranayama (breathing), and dhyana (meditation). The evening session will be more restorative, taught by Morven or Marinella.
Ayurvedic massage with Marinella and one-to-one yoga with Morven will be available in the morning. In the afternoon you can join Morven for Satsang which is an opportunity to discuss concepts of yoga, particularly around the theme that we will be developing over the weekend. The Satsang is optional and you are free to walk in the stunning countryside of Somerset if you feel to do that instead.
There will be three vegetarian meals a day provided by the ashram, whose food is highly recommended by many. We will be missing our food alchemist Sarah, who will be with her new baby daughter at that time, but she will rejoin us in the near future.
