Full Description

FLOW OF THE DAY. . .This unique retreat begins with intention, vision and goal setting in our opening session on Sunday morning and ends with a heart-centered closing on Friday morning followed by a celebration of yoga, food and the friendships we have made over the week (a detailed schedule will be sent before the retreat).

There will be additional yoga workshops in the day depending on students needs throughout the week.

MORNINGS begin with a cappuccino (of course….or tea) and time for you to read, walk or have a long breakfast before our morning practice. The yoga will take place on the platform outside and you will struggle not to be distracted by the picturesque view. The style of yoga will be stronger in the morning as we awake refreshed with energy. Over the week you will learn about Ashtanga, Vinyasa and Iyengar yoga, my wonderful assistant will also be on hand to offer adjustments and support throughout the class.

Following yoga we will enjoy an Italian vegetarian healthy farm-to-table, brunch outside on the terrace, overlooking the forest.

AFTERNOONS are entirely for you, everything on retreat is optional, this is your holiday. There will be plenty of Downtime for napping, reading, dining on regional, vegetarian cuisine, and sipping local wines. You can relax, read, take an excursion to swim in the waterfall, hike to the monastery or explore the medieval abandoned village. At sunset we will re-convene on the yoga platform for a relaxing and rejuvenating yoga and meditation practice together with a focus on yin, yoga nidra, restorative, and meditation.

EVENINGS are pure magic, as we share our meal, family style under the stars—appreciating the simple life of sumptuous tastes, good food, music and great company! All meals on the retreat are vegetarian. The food is freshly-made, good quality wholesome home cooking. We try to use as much seasonal and local produce as possible to create a variety of both typical Italian dishes and delicious worldly creations.

Our last night will be a special evening of yoga, Italian food and entertainment, more details will follow….

This retreat is open to conscious beginner up to intermediate students, all classes will have variations and modifications for your body. Please bring any additional props you like to practice with.

SAMSUNG CSCYOGA WITH KELLY

Kelly is known for her fun relaxed yoga sessions. They are challenging yet light hearted. Kelly’s classes are best described as Ashtanga, Vinyasa flow inspired with a strong focus on alignment because of her background in Iyengar. If you’re new to yoga and not quite sure what that means, the best way to explain her classes is they are designed to help you feel confident with you own self practice and discovery, because Kelly feels that is the exciting part of the journey, when you really start to learn. You will get the best technical advice, progress your practice and feel confident. Powerful sequences are designed to create a fluid practice of moving meditation, while also cultivating an awareness of alignment. We will laugh, we will challenge our self we will sometimes cry, but no matter what, we will learn a lot and go home feeling strong, flexible and relaxed.

The challenges we overcome in our yoga practice can be taken into our day to day life to overcome any difficulties.

Living Logistics…

For this retreat we offer only shared accommodation (5 max per room) and camping.
IMPORTANT: Places in the rooms are limited so they are offered on a first-come-first-served basis. When making your booking please communicate whether you would like a bed in a room, or if you are happy to camp (prices are the same). If camping you will need to bring your own tent and sleeping bag. (We may have spare tents and sleeping bags)

There is one indoor bathroom and toilet, and 2 outdoor compost toilets and showers. Limited electricity is available in the house (only solar power). Various water points are available for clothes washing etc.
