Yoga & Culture in Cuba with Ann Dyer

Out of reach to Americans for over 50 years, the culturally rich country of Cuba holds a deep fascination for us all. Recent access to Americans is still restricted to groups, however, and not easy to navigate. That’s why we have created Sights & Sounds of Cuba, a lively, thoroughly inspiring cultural tour of all Cuba has to offer.

Full Description

You may have heard, NOW is the time to visit Cuba.
Together we will discover the vibrant arts, charming colonial streets, and warm people of Cuba. Havana, whose city center itself is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, will be our base. We will stay at the highly coveted Hotel Nacional de Cuba, a historic symbol of Cuba located steps from the ocean and part of the World Memory Register. Each day the city will reveal new delights, from it’s deep Afro-Cuban origins to its hip, contemporary nightlife. We will meet with local artists, attend concerts, visit museums and shop in local markets. Together we will learn to dance salsa and take a yoga class by Cuba’s most famous instructor at a local yoga studio. Over the course of the week we may indulge in a mojito or two, and enjoy the range of Cuba’s world famous cuisine – from humble, home cooking served in hospitable family paladors to the fine dining of some of Havana’s greatest restaurants. Our adventure culminates with a scenic drive to the famous white sands and Caribbean waters one of Cuba’s most famous beaches, where we will unwind in a day of fun in the sun before our last celebratory night in Havana.
